How can we continue to let time create this space that is defining us and aging us, chipping apart the timelessness of what we both felt we had found that day?
What has happened to the restlessness of those two spirits once lost, colliding into one another and praising the moment at which they had been found again?
How is it possible that the thing that searched out and heartened to and and bade longingly for just one chance be fading into darkness?
Can it be true or even possible that a thing so solid, under pressure, be reduced to particles floating through air landing dustily in areas unknown?
Is it so easy to lay down the flames once carried, even while knowing that everything they touch will burn away into nothingness?
Will we wake from hopes and dreams and wishes then realize that what was between us, what we once thought was forever, is actually no more?
